There were competitions between bands but off stage, they were all great friends and cold war enemies :p
However, with the generation Z the whole mindset has been shifted to something so hollow.

| Metalabad Hall Of Fame Dushyant, Ravi, Sanam, Joel, Harsh to name a few new musicians |
Metalabad was one was the great initiatives by Dushyant Dubey. He organized number of Rock and Metal Concerts and became backbone of Ahmedabad Rock scene for few years. The best thing he did was what you can see in this picture where he honored all the great musicians of Ahmedabad. Legends like Lenny Kisku, Anup Phookan, Cedrik Fernandez, Mark Haydon, Shailesh Rathod etc.
The new kids do not have that passion what I used to see and feel in people back then. I feel the technology has taken it's toll and started trolling the whole human species. The boy bands that form now only sing songs of Arijit Singh which is way too overrated. Of course I am not against Bollywood and the artists there, they are terrific but playing baseless music takes you no where and I think Blues, Rock, Metal has a base. A strong root and history.

Most of the kids that I teach at my academy wants to start playing on stage. They think knowing 5 chords is enough as the listeners don't matter what the musicians play. And it's not me who is saying this I have heard this from dozens of people..
I remember the names like Dushyant Dubey, Sanam Mushi, Ravi bodiwala, Pyro, Devkinandan, Binny, Chinmay, Nicolette, Michael, Anay, Malav, Nicholas and so many more... These guys have/had such passion about music that they still keep going in one form or another. But I remember how they used to practice and sound like. Such Talent!!!!
Some terrific musician that I know personally. Check them out below!
If I had to choose between Rock scene before 10 15 years or playing every single Bollywood show in country, I'd choose the first option. At least people back then genuinely cared about your band and your music. People paid money and bought passes and came for the shows.
Share any incidents in comments if you remember that still makes you laugh or makes you cringe or breaks your heart!!

Great were those days....It was may 2010....Eric and Sid who later on formed "Ecstasy" ...introduced me to "metalabaad"..."moshpit"....they invited me to cept. It was my first ever rock n metal scene. I was really so mad after it. Lenny Sir ...made me more knowledgeable by making me listen to great artists like scorpions, pink Floyd etc..n making me sense some real music. How can I forget that "led zepplica" ..tribute band to led Zeppelin performed at IIM-A....those great days r all gone....
